So Many Types of Brow Embroidery

February 12, 2018

Confused about the different names and terms about all these eyebrow emmbroidery? No worries, let Brow Studio Expert break them down and tell you the indivisual features and technichques applied.

The latest technique for eyebrows embroidery is commonly known by a few fancy names such as Microblading, Korean Nano-blading and 6D Eyebrow Embroidery. These names might sound different but the result and purpose are the same as to create 3D effect on your semi-permanent eyebrow tattoos. Unlike real tattoos that are made using a machine, this procedure uses a manual handheld tool to draw fine-lined strokes that look like real hair, rather than filling it in as you would with an eyebrow pencil. This technique makes the effect look more realistic when you go all natural without makeup. Look closely at the photo above – see the fine lines of the eyebrow? From far, it really looks like real hair and not embroidered strokes.

It is more like embedding pigment under your skin, but not as deep as a regular tattoo. It is a great alternative for people with thin hair to achieve fuller and most natural looking brows. Unlike Basic Eyebrow Embroidery/Gradient Embroidery/Misty Brows that only give you 2D effect, this latest technique is used to create the natural looking hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present that gives an ultimate frame to your face and gives you a confidence boost.

In order to enhance the look and shape of the eyebrows, Microblading uses an advanced semi-permanent makeup technique where the pigment is inserted into the upper layers of skin. The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present they will blend perfectly into them.

A superfine needle/blade is used to create thin, hair-like strokes on the skin in the same growth pattern as your existing hair. The results are natural and flawless, giving you a pair of fuller-looking brows. Initially, the brows will appear darker but will fade significantly over a two weeks period.

Microblading is not only to create multi-dimensional eyebrows but also change the shape of existing ones. It creates a pair of naturally defined brows that are not only soft but healthy and bounteous. It is so fine and natural that nobody can tell the difference with each stoke mimicking the natural brow hairs.

This semi-permanent makeup lasts up to 18 months, thereafter the pigment fades leaving the skin and the natural brows exactly as they were. A touch up is required as it depends on individuals that how well the skin will retain the pigment. There’s really no right or wrong, good or bad. It truly depends on what you’re looking for, how much or how little eyebrow hair you have and what you want your brows to look like.
